Buckets of Love

Dearly beloved,

Drum roll, please…IT’S GIVEAWAY TIME. (If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m excited)

As you may have surmised, a giveaway is occurring - the first of the new year and life of Chasmic! But you also may have come to the conclusion that this giveaway has nothing to do with mental health (if you don’t consider fun games in the form of fitness not essential to mental health). In all seriousness, however, your conclusion is 110% correct. This basketball gear giveaway indeed has nothing to do with mental health or what the core of Chasmic Desist is, but it does make me happy, and it represents a very positive part of my life that I love sharing with those I care about. I love the sport, and it has been very key to my mental health and cleansing my thoughts for a very long time, whether I am playing with others or doing drills by myself. It is not a replacement for therapy in the traditional sense, but it is a form of therapy for me, as I am sure it is for many others (if done with the intent of just flowing and venting healthily, of course).

Although athletic gear will not be a permanent mainstay as a product or a giveaway item, I do believe that specific items such as this close to me do have a place here even if its time is short-lived. Aside from being a cool and fun thing to provide to people, basketball and fitness are very important parts of a personal mental health journey that is also inclusive of drawing, painting, music, and more. In other words, what I am trying to say is that this giveaway is related to mental health and the core of Chasmic Desist in a non-traditional sense and there is nothing wrong with that as long as I am able to express myself in a fun, healthy way! Nevertheless, since it isn’t necessarily a part of the “main storyline”, I have also decided to do something else that I probably won’t do again:

Essentially, on top of giving away basketball gear to a lucky few, I will also be giving away some products for Trust Issues and the rest of the store! This is not only to stay slightly on track but also a way to celebrate the rebirth of Trust Issues and Chasmic Desist as a whole. Since all of this news is reflected on the GIVEAWAYS page, I suggest you take a look over there to get all the cool details. Don’t expect this type of thing to be the norm. I am reserving it for special occasions only. Nevertheless, this type of thing truly does make me happy, and I am confident that it will make you happy as well.

Before we close and I release you to do whatever you please (within reason), I believe it prudent to leave with this:

Don’t be afraid to stray from the path. Everything worth having will not always be where you can see or where others are going. Sometimes, a better path shows up when you take risks and embrace yourself without holding onto what others will think about you. It’s okay to try new things even if they go against the grain. Just be yourself and learn. All you can do is grow from it.

Keep shining and elevating, but don’t forget to have fun in the process.
